2002 TEACHING-FAMILY ASSOCIATION AWARDS
Nominations Wanted

TFA Award Recipients

The Awards and Recognitions Committee is now seeking nominations for the 2001 Teaching-Family Association Awards that will be distributed at the November TFA Conference in Chicago. The committee provides several ways to recognize the contributions of Association members. There are two levels of awards: Association-Level Awards and Agency-Level awards.

ASSOCIATION-LEVEL AWARDS
There are two Association-Level awards: the
Lonnie and Elaine Phillips Award (The TFA Practitioner of the Year Award) and the Montrose Wolf Distinguished Service Award which provides recognition to Association members who have provided exemplary services to the Association as Teaching-Family Practitioners of Individual Members.

The Montrose Wolf Distinguished Contributions Award recognizes a Teaching-Family Association member for his/her contribution to the Association and to the development, refinement, and implementation of the Teaching-Family Model. This category recognizes those persons who have provided significant contributions to the TFA program administration, staff training, evaluation technology, or research that extends our knowledge and otherwise enhances the application of the Teaching-Family Model. Past recipients have included Patrice White, Ted Blevins, Robert Jones and others, including Montrose Wolf himself.

The Lonnie and Elaine Phillips Award is an Association level Practitioner award that recognizes a certified practitioner couple or individual for their outstanding contribution to the Association as implementers of the Teaching-Family Model in any Teaching-Family treatment setting and for making a significant contribution to the Teaching-Family Association. This category includes (a) exceptional service to program consumers, (b) innovative applications of the Model to families and new populations, (c) the development or refinement of program technology, (d) contributions to training and to the Teaching-Parent profession, and (e) involvement with contributions to the Teaching-Family Association. Past Recipients include Dan and Kambi Scott, Rick and Lori Field, Mike and Denise Hussey, Shalie Miller and others.

AGENCY LEVEL AWARD
The Association also enables each Certified Member Agency to recognize an outstanding Teaching-Family Practitioner (individual or couple) at the fall TFA conference. Thus the Committee is also seeking designees for the
Teaching-Family Distinguished Service Award. This category recognizing outstanding Teaching-Family Practitioners at each Certified Member Agency who, for a variety of reasons, may or may not be actively involved in our international organization, but who have provided outstanding service as Teaching-Family Practitioners in the tradition of our first practitioners, Lonnie and Elaine Phillips.
