Foster Care Supervisor
Location: Remote role covering Central and Eastern NC (in and around Wake County and Pitt County) 
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Call Rotation Required
Starting Salary: $55,000+, based on experience and education

At Methodist Home for Children, we provide safe, stable, and supportive homes for youth in foster care. Our Foster Care Supervisor plays a key leadership role, guiding a team of specialists and supporting foster families to ensure every child receives high-quality, compassionate care.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Foster Care Specialists working with children and families in Wake and surrounding counties.

  • Oversee daily operations of Foster Care and Therapeutic Foster Care programs.

  • Ensure compliance with NC foster care licensing laws and agency policies.

  • Provide clinical consultation and ensure quality of treatment planning.

  • Serve as point of contact for DSS and other partner agencies.

  • Be available for 24/7 on-call support on a rotating basis.

  • Monitor program budgets and contribute to strategic planning.

  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments for children entering care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field 

  • 3+ years of experience in child welfare, foster care, or mental health

  • Prior supervisory experience required

  • Strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

  • Ability to manage occasional high-stress situations
