At Methodist Home for Children, we transform lives. Our Juvenile Assessment & Crisis Centers provide critical care and intervention for boys and girls with histories of mental illness, neglect, trauma, or substance abuse. Referred by juvenile court counselors, these youth stay with us for 14 to 30 days, receiving comprehensive testing, observation, and support. Supervised by licensed psychologists and clinical case managers, each child leaves with a personalized care plan that equips them for future success.

Job Description:
Are you ready to make a lasting impact? We are seeking an experienced, licensed Psychologist to provide clinical oversight at our Winston-Salem Juvenile Assessment & Crisis Center. This is your chance to work hands-on with youth in need, guiding them through a pivotal time in their lives. You will lead with compassion, empower with expertise, and drive progress for each young person we serve.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the Assessment Center program, ensuring services align with our mission and deliver measurable, meaningful outcomes.
Develop and refine assessment protocols that guide individualized, evidence-based care.
Conduct psychological testing, ensuring thorough evaluations for each youth.
Communicate with Court Services and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination of care.
Stay at the forefront of best practices, driving innovations in care.
Partner with fellow psychologists on research, consultation, and potential publications.
Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of behavioral health services at our Center.
Qualifications:
Doctorate Degree in Psychology.
Active NC Psychology Board license.
Proven experience in diagnosis, treatment, and outcome evaluation for youth.
Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.
Passion for research, growth, and leading clinical teams.
Leadership ability in overseeing master's level clinicians.
